In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
بِسْمِbis'miIn (the) nameٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) God,ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāniMost Gracious,ٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmiMost Merciful.
[45:1] H. M.
حمٓhha-meemH.M. ﴿١﴾
[45:2] The revelation of this scripture is from GOD, the Almighty, Most Wise.
تَنزِيلُtanzīluA revelation (of)ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābithe scriptureمِنَmina(is) fromٱللَّهِl-lahiGodٱلْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzithe Almighty,ٱلْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmiMost Wise. ﴿٢﴾
[45:3] The heavens and the earth are full of proofs for the believers.
إِنَّinnaIndeed,فِىfīinٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earth (are)لَـَٔايَـٰتٍlaāyātinsurely signs / proofsلِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَlil'mu'minīnafor the believers. ﴿٣﴾
[45:4] Also in your creation, and the creation of all the animals, there are proofs for people who are certain.
وَفِىwafīAnd inخَلْقِكُمْkhalqikumyour creationوَمَاwamāand whatيَبُثُّyabuthuHe dispersesمِنminofدَآبَّةٍdābbatin(the) moving creature / animalءَايَـٰتٌāyātun(are) proofsلِّقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيُوقِنُونَyūqinūnathey are certain. ﴿٤﴾
[45:5] Also, the alternation of the night and the day, and the provisions that GOD sends down from the sky to revive dead lands, and the manipulation of the winds; all these are proofs for people who understand.
وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِwa-ikh'tilāfiAnd (in the) alternation (of)ٱلَّيْلِal-laylithe nightوَٱلنَّهَارِwal-nahāriand the dayوَمَآwamāand whatأَنزَلَanzala[He] sent downٱللَّهُl-lahuGodمِنَminafromٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāithe skyمِنminofرِّزْقٍriz'qin(the) provisionفَأَحْيَاfa-aḥyāand He gave lifeبِهِbihitherebyٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa(to) the earthبَعْدَbaʿdaafterمَوْتِهَاmawtihāits death,وَتَصْرِيفِwataṣrīfiand [it] directingٱلرِّيَـٰحِl-riyāḥithe winds (are)ءَايَـٰتٌāyātunproofsلِّقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūnathey understand. ﴿٥﴾
Which Hadith?*
[45:6] These are GOD's revelations that we recite to you truthfully. In which Hadith other than GOD and His revelations do they believe?
تِلْكَtil'kaThese (are)ءَايَـٰتُāyātu(the) verses / revelationsٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) God.نَتْلُوهَاnatlūhāWe recite themعَلَيْكَʿalaykato youبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiin the truth (*truthfully).فَبِأَىِّfabi-ayyiSo whichحَدِيثٍۭḥadīthinHadithبَعْدَbaʿdaafterٱللَّهِl-lahiGodوَءَايَـٰتِهِۦwaāyātihiand His verses / revelationsيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnathey believe? ﴿٦﴾
*45:6-7 God condemns "Hadith" by name, and informs us that it is a blasphemous fabrication.
[45:7] Woe to every fabricator, guilty.*
وَيْلٌwaylunWoeلِّكُلِّlikullito everyأَفَّاكٍaffākinliar / fabricatorأَثِيمٍathīminsinful / guilty. ﴿٧﴾
[45:8] The one who hears GOD's revelations recited to him, then insists arrogantly on his way, as if he never heard them. Promise him a painful retribution.
يَسْمَعُyasmaʿuHe hearsءَايَـٰتِāyāti(the) verses / revelationsٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Godتُتْلَىٰtut'lāit is recitedعَلَيْهِʿalayhito him,ثُمَّthummathenيُصِرُّyuṣirruhe persistsمُسْتَكْبِرًاmus'takbiranarrogantlyكَأَنka-anas ifلَّمْlamnotيَسْمَعْهَاyasmaʿhāhe hears it.فَبَشِّرْهُfabashir'huSo promise himبِعَذَابٍbiʿadhābinof a retributionأَلِيمٍalīminpainful. ﴿٨﴾
[45:9] When he learns anything about our revelations, he mocks them. These have incurred a shameful retribution.
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenعَلِمَʿalimahe learnedمِنْminofءَايَـٰتِنَاāyātināour verses / revelations,شَيْـًٔاshayananything,ٱتَّخَذَهَاittakhadhahāhe took itهُزُوًاhuzuwan(in) ridicule.أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThoseلَهُمْlahumfor them (is)عَذَابٌʿadhābuna retributionمُّهِينٌmuhīnunhumiliating / shameful. ﴿٩﴾
[45:10] Awaiting them is Gehenna. Their earnings will not help them, nor the idols they had set up beside GOD. They have incurred a terrible retribution.
مِّنminFrom*وَرَآئِهِمْwarāihimbefore them (*awaiting them is)جَهَنَّمُjahannamuGehennaوَلَاwalāand notيُغْنِىyugh'nīit avails / helpsعَنْهُمʿanhumfor themمَّاmāwhatكَسَبُوا۟kasabūthey earnedشَيْـًٔاshayananything,وَلَاwalāand notمَاmāwhatٱتَّخَذُوا۟ittakhadhūthey tookمِنminfromدُونِdūnibesidesٱللَّهِl-lahiGodأَوْلِيَآءَawliyāa(as) protectors / lords.وَلَهُمْwalahumAnd for them (is)عَذَابٌʿadhābuna retributionعَظِيمٌʿaẓīmungreat. ﴿١٠﴾
[45:11] This is a beacon, and those who disbelieve in these revelations of their Lord have incurred condemnation and a painful retribution.
هَـٰذَاhādhāThis (is)هُدًىhudanguidance.وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarū[they] disbelievedبِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyātiin (the) verses / revelationsرَبِّهِمْrabbihim(of) their Lord,لَهُمْlahumfor them (is)عَذَابٌʿadhābuna retributionمِّنminofرِّجْزٍrij'zinfoul nature / humiliation,أَلِيمٌalīmunpainful. ﴿١١﴾
[45:12] GOD is the One who committed the sea in your service, so that the ships can roam it in accordance with His laws. You thus seek His provisions, that you may be appreciative.
ٱللَّهُal-lahuGod (is)ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One whoسَخَّرَsakharaHe committed to serveلَكُمُlakumufor you [all]ٱلْبَحْرَl-baḥrathe seaلِتَجْرِىَlitajriyathat [it] may sail / flowٱلْفُلْكُl-ful'kuthe shipsفِيهِfīhithereinبِأَمْرِهِۦbi-amrihiby His command,وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟walitabtaghūand that you [all] may seekمِنminfromفَضْلِهِۦfaḍlihiHis bounty / provisionsوَلَعَلَّكُمْwalaʿallakumand that you [all] mayتَشْكُرُونَtashkurūna[you all] be appreciative. ﴿١٢﴾
[45:13] He committed in your service everything in the heavens and the earth; all from Him. These are proofs for people who reflect.
وَسَخَّرَwasakharaAnd He subjected / committed to serveلَكُمlakumfor you [all]مَّاmāwhateverفِىfī(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَمَاwamāand whateverفِىfī(is) inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthجَمِيعًاjamīʿanallمِّنْهُmin'hufrom Him.إِنَّinnaIndeed,فِىfīinذَٰلِكَdhālikathatلَـَٔايَـٰتٍlaāyātinsurely are signs / proofsلِّقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيَتَفَكَّرُونَyatafakkarūna(who) [they] reflect. ﴿١٣﴾
[45:14] Tell those who believed to forgive those who do not expect the days of GOD. He will fully pay everyone for whatever they have earned.
قُلqulSayلِّلَّذِينَlilladhīnato those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū[they] believed,يَغْفِرُوا۟yaghfirūthey (shall) forgiveلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnafor those whoلَاlā(do) notيَرْجُونَyarjūnathey expectأَيَّامَayyāma(for the) daysٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) God;لِيَجْزِىَliyajziyathat He may pay in fullقَوْمًۢاqawmana peopleبِمَاbimāfor whatكَانُوا۟kānūthey used toيَكْسِبُونَyaksibūna[they] earn. ﴿١٤﴾
[45:15] Whoever works righteousness does so for his own good, and whoever works evil does so to his own detriment. To your Lord you will be returned.
مَنْmanWhoeverعَمِلَʿamilahe didصَـٰلِحًاṣāliḥana righteous (deed),فَلِنَفْسِهِۦfalinafsihithen (it is) for his soul,وَمَنْwamanand whoeverأَسَآءَasāahe did evil,فَعَلَيْهَاfaʿalayhāthen (it is) against it.ثُمَّthummaThenإِلَىٰilātoرَبِّكُمْrabbikumyour Lordتُرْجَعُونَtur'jaʿūnayou [all] will return. ﴿١٥﴾
[45:16] We have given the Children of Israel the scripture, wisdom, and prophethood, and provided them with good provisions; we bestowed upon them more blessings than any other people.
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd certainly,ءَاتَيْنَاātaynāwe gaveبَنِىٓbanī(the) Children (of) إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīlaIsraelٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe scriptureوَٱلْحُكْمَwal-ḥuk'maand the wisdomوَٱلنُّبُوَّةَwal-nubuwataand the prophethood,وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُمwarazaqnāhumand we provided themمِّنَminafromٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِl-ṭayibātithe good things,وَفَضَّلْنَـٰهُمْwafaḍḍalnāhumand we preferred / blessed themعَلَىʿalāoverٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَl-ʿālamīnaall people. ﴿١٦﴾
[45:17] We have given them herein clear commandments. Ironically, they did not dispute this until the knowledge had come to them. This is due to jealousy on their part. Surely, your Lord will judge them on the Day of Resurrection regarding everything they have disputed.
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمwaātaynāhumAnd we gave themبَيِّنَـٰتٍbayyinātinclear proofsمِّنَminaofٱلْأَمْرِl-amrithe command(s).فَمَاfamāAnd notٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟ikh'talafūthey differed / disputedإِلَّاillāexceptمِنۢminfromبَعْدِbaʿdiafterمَاmāwhatجَآءَهُمُjāahumu[it] came to them (of)ٱلْعِلْمُl-ʿil'muthe knowledge,بَغْيًۢاbaghyan(out of) jealousyبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween them(selves).إِنَّinnaIndeed,رَبَّكَrabbakayour LordيَقْضِىyaqḍīHe will judgeبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themيَوْمَyawma(on the) Day (of)ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmatithe Resurrectionفِيمَاfīmāabout whatكَانُوا۟kānūthey used toفِيهِfīhithereinيَخْتَلِفُونَyakhtalifūnathey differ / dispute. ﴿١٧﴾
[45:18] We then appointed you to establish the correct laws; you shall follow this, and do not follow the wishes of those who do not know.
ثُمَّthummaThenجَعَلْنَـٰكَjaʿalnākawe appointed youعَلَىٰʿalāoverشَرِيعَةٍsharīʿatina system of divine law / right way / correctمِّنَminafromٱلْأَمْرِl-amrithe command(s) / law(s);فَٱتَّبِعْهَاfa-ittabiʿ'hāso you follow itوَلَاwalāand (do) notتَتَّبِعْtattabiʿyou followأَهْوَآءَahwāa(the) desires / whims / opinions / wishes ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūna[they] know. ﴿١٨﴾
[45:19] They cannot help you at all against GOD. It is the transgressors who ally themselves with one another, while GOD is the Lord of the righteous.
إِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed, theyلَنlanneverيُغْنُوا۟yugh'nū[they] will avail / helpعَنكَʿankafor youمِنَminaagainstٱللَّهِl-lahiGodشَيْـًٔاshayan(in) anything.وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeed,ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers / transgressorsبَعْضُهُمْbaʿḍuhumsome of them*أَوْلِيَآءُawliyāu(are) allies*بَعْضٍbaʿḍin(of) some others (*are allies of each other),وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuand God (is)وَلِىُّwaliyyu(the) Protector / Lord (of)ٱلْمُتَّقِينَl-mutaqīnathe righteous [ones]. ﴿١٩﴾
[45:20] This provides enlightenments for the people, and guidance, and mercy for those who are certain.
هَـٰذَاhādhāThis (is)بَصَـٰٓئِرُbaṣāiruenlightenmentلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor the peopleوَهُدًىwahudanand guidanceوَرَحْمَةٌwaraḥmatunand mercyلِّقَوْمٍliqawminfor a peopleيُوقِنُونَyūqinūna(who) [they] are certain. ﴿٢٠﴾
[45:21] Do those who work evil expect that we will treat them in the same manner as those who believe and lead a righteous life? Can their life and their death be the same?* Wrong indeed is their judgment.
أَمْamOrحَسِبَḥasiba[he] thoughtٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoٱجْتَرَحُوا۟ij'taraḥū[they] committedٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِl-sayiāti[the] evil deedsأَنanthatنَّجْعَلَهُمْnajʿalahumwe will make themكَٱلَّذِينَka-alladhīnalike those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū[they] believedوَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilūand [they] didٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti[the] righteous deedsسَوَآءًsawāanequal / sameمَّحْيَاهُمْmaḥyāhum(in) their lifeوَمَمَاتُهُمْwamamātuhumand their death?سَآءَsāaEvil (is)مَاmāwhatيَحْكُمُونَyaḥkumūnathey judge. ﴿٢١﴾
*45:21 We now realize that the righteous do not really die - they go straight to Heaven (16:32) - while the unrighteous are beaten up by the angels of death (8:50 & 47:27).
[45:22] GOD created the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose, in order to pay each soul for whatever it earned, without the least injustice.*
وَخَلَقَwakhalaqaAnd [He] createdٱللَّهُl-lahuGodٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiin the truth (*truthfully)وَلِتُجْزَىٰwalituj'zāand that [it] may be compensated / paidكُلُّkullueveryنَفْسٍۭnafsinsoulبِمَاbimāfor whatكَسَبَتْkasabatit earned,وَهُمْwahumand theyلَاlānotيُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūna[they] will be wronged. ﴿٢٢﴾
*45:22 God granted us this life as a precious chance to redeem ourselves, denounce our ancient alliance with Satan, and rejoin God's kingdom. See Introduction & Appendix 7.
Common Form of Idolatry: The Ego As A god
[45:23] Have you noted the one whose god is his ego? Consequently, GOD sends him astray, despite his knowledge, seals his hearing and his mind, and places a veil on his eyes. Who then can guide him, after such a decision by GOD? Would you not take heed?
أَفَرَءَيْتَafara-aytaThen have you seenمَنِmani(he) whoٱتَّخَذَittakhadhahe tookإِلَـٰهَهُۥilāhahu(as) his godهَوَىٰهُhawāhuhis desire / opinion / egoوَأَضَلَّهُwa-aḍallahuand [He] sent him astrayٱللَّهُl-lahuGodعَلَىٰʿalādespiteعِلْمٍʿil'min(his) knowledgeوَخَتَمَwakhatamaand He sealedعَلَىٰʿalāuponسَمْعِهِۦsamʿihihis hearingوَقَلْبِهِۦwaqalbihiand his heart / mindوَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand He putsعَلَىٰʿalāoverبَصَرِهِۦbaṣarihihis vision / eyesغِشَـٰوَةًghishāwatana veil?فَمَنfamanThen whoيَهْدِيهِyahdīhi[he] guides himمِنۢminfromبَعْدِbaʿdiafterٱللَّهِl-lahiGod?أَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَtadhakkarūnayou [all] take heed? ﴿٢٣﴾
[45:24] They said, "We only live this life; we live and die and only time causes our death!" They have no sure knowledge about this; they only conjecture.
وَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they said,مَاmā"Notهِىَhiyait (is)إِلَّاillābutحَيَاتُنَاḥayātunāour life (of)ٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yāthe world,نَمُوتُnamūtuwe dieوَنَحْيَاwanaḥyāand we live,وَمَاwamāand notيُهْلِكُنَآyuh'likunāit destroys usإِلَّاillāexceptٱلدَّهْرُl-dahruthe time."وَمَاwamāAnd notلَهُمlahumfor themبِذَٰلِكَbidhālikaof thatمِنْminanyعِلْمٍʿil'minknowledge;إِنْinnot,هُمْhumtheyإِلَّاillā(do) butيَظُنُّونَyaẓunnūna[they] guess / conjecture. ﴿٢٤﴾
[45:25] When our revelations are recited to them, clearly, their only argument is to say, "Bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful."
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenتُتْلَىٰtut'lā[it] is recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunāour verses / revelationsبَيِّنَـٰتٍbayyinātinclearly,مَّاmānotكَانَkānawasحُجَّتَهُمْḥujjatahumtheir argumentإِلَّآillāexceptأَنanthatقَالُوا۟qālūthey said,ٱئْتُوا۟i'tū"Bring [you all]بِـَٔابَآئِنَآbiābāināof our forefathersإِنinifكُنتُمْkuntumyou [all] areصَـٰدِقِينَṣādiqīnatruthful [ones]." ﴿٢٥﴾
[45:26] Say, "GOD has granted you life, then He puts you to death, then He will summon you to the Day of Resurrection, which is inevitable. But most people do not know."
قُلِquliSay,ٱللَّهُl-lahu"Godيُحْيِيكُمْyuḥ'yīkum[He] gives you [all] life,ثُمَّthummathenيُمِيتُكُمْyumītukumHe causes you [all] to die;ثُمَّthummathenيَجْمَعُكُمْyajmaʿukumHe will gather you [all]إِلَىٰilātoيَوْمِyawmi(the) Day (of)ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmatithe Resurrection,لَاlānoرَيْبَraybadoubtفِيهِfīhiabout it."وَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinnaButأَكْثَرَaktharamost (of)ٱلنَّاسِl-nāsithe peopleلَاlānotيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūna[they] know. ﴿٢٦﴾
[45:27] To GOD belongs all sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. The day the Hour (Judgment) comes to pass, that is when the falsifiers lose.
وَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd for God (is)مُلْكُmul'kudominion / sovereignty (of)ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earth;وَيَوْمَwayawmaand (the) Dayتَقُومُtaqūmu[it] is establishedٱلسَّاعَةُl-sāʿatuthe Hour,يَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayيَخْسَرُyakhsaru[he] will loseٱلْمُبْطِلُونَl-mub'ṭilūnathe falsifiers. ﴿٢٧﴾
Kneeling
[45:28] You will see every community kneeling. Every community will be called to view their record. Today, you get paid for everything you have done.
وَتَرَىٰwatarāAnd you will seeكُلَّkullaeveryأُمَّةٍummatincommunityجَاثِيَةًjāthiyatankneeling.كُلُّkulluEveryأُمَّةٍummatincommunityتُدْعَىٰٓtud'ʿāit will be calledإِلَىٰilātoكِتَـٰبِهَاkitābihāits record,ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma"Todayتُجْزَوْنَtuj'zawnayou [all] will be paidمَاmā(for) whatكُنتُمْkuntumyou [all] used toتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna[you all] do. ﴿٢٨﴾
[45:29] This is our record; it utters the truth about you. We have been recording everything you did.
هَـٰذَاhādhāThis (is)كِتَـٰبُنَاkitābunāour Record,يَنطِقُyanṭiquit speaks / uttersعَلَيْكُمʿalaykumabout you [all]بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiin the truth (*truthfully).إِنَّاinnāIndeed, weكُنَّاkunnā[we] used toنَسْتَنسِخُnastansikhu[we] transcribe / recordمَاmāwhatكُنتُمْkuntumyou [all] used toتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna[you all] do." ﴿٢٩﴾
[45:30] As for those who believe and work righteousness, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. This is the great triumph.
فَأَمَّاfa-ammāThen as forٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanū[they] believedوَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilūand [they] didٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥātithe righteous deeds,فَيُدْخِلُهُمْfayud'khiluhumthen He will admit themرَبُّهُمْrabbuhumtheir LordفِىfīintoرَحْمَتِهِۦraḥmatihiHis mercy.ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatهُوَhuwait (is)ٱلْفَوْزُl-fawzuthe triumphٱلْمُبِينُl-mubīnu[the] clear / profound. ﴿٣٠﴾
[45:31] As for those who disbelieve: "Were not My revelations recited to you, but you turned arrogant and were wicked people?"
وَأَمَّاwa-ammāBut as forٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟kafarū[they] disbelieved,أَفَلَمْafalam"Then were notتَكُنْtakun[it be]ءَايَـٰتِىāyātīMy verses / revelationsتُتْلَىٰtut'lāit recitedعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumto you [all]فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْfa-is'takbartumbut you [all] turned arrogantوَكُنتُمْwakuntumand you [all] becameقَوْمًاqawmana peopleمُّجْرِمِينَmuj'rimīnacriminals / sinners / wicked [ones]?" ﴿٣١﴾
[45:32] When it is proclaimed that GOD's promise is the truth and that the Hour (of Judgment) is inevitable, you said, "We do not know what the Hour is! We are full of conjecture about it; we are not certain."
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenقِيلَqīlait was said,إِنَّinna"Indeedوَعْدَwaʿda(the) promise (of)ٱللَّهِl-lahiGodحَقٌّḥaqqun(is) trueوَٱلسَّاعَةُwal-sāʿatuand the Hourلَاlānoرَيْبَraybadoubtفِيهَاfīhāabout it,قُلْتُمqul'tumyou [all] said,مَّاmā"Notنَدْرِىnadrīwe knowمَاmāwhatٱلسَّاعَةُl-sāʿatuthe Hour (is).إِنinNotنَّظُنُّnaẓunnuwe thinkإِلَّاillāexceptظَنًّاẓannanan assumption / conjecture,وَمَاwamāand notنَحْنُnaḥnuwe (are)بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَbimus'tayqinīnaever those seeking conviction / certainty." ﴿٣٢﴾
[45:33] The evils of their works will become evident to them, and the very things they mocked will come back and haunt them.
وَبَدَاwabadāAnd it became evidentلَهُمْlahumto themسَيِّـَٔاتُsayyiātu(the) evil [deeds]مَاmā(of) whatعَمِلُوا۟ʿamilūthey didوَحَاقَwaḥāqaand it surroundedبِهِمbihimthemمَّاmāwhatكَانُوا۟kānūthey used toبِهِۦbihiat itيَسْتَهْزِءُونَyastahziūna[they] mock. ﴿٣٣﴾
[45:34] It will be proclaimed: "Today we forget you, just as you forgot the meeting of this day. Your abode is the hellfire, and you will have no helpers.
وَقِيلَwaqīlaAnd it (will be) said,ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawma"Todayنَنسَىٰكُمْnansākumwe forget you [all]كَمَاkamāasنَسِيتُمْnasītumyou [all] forgotلِقَآءَliqāa(the) meeting (of)يَوْمِكُمْyawmikumyour dayهَـٰذَاhādhāthis,وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُwamawākumuand your abode (is)ٱلنَّارُl-nāruthe Fire / hellfire,وَمَاwamāand notلَكُمlakumfor you [all]مِّنminanyنَّـٰصِرِينَnāṣirīnahelpers. ﴿٣٤﴾
[45:35] "This is because you took GOD's revelations in vain, and were preoccupied with the first life." Consequently, they will never exit therefrom, nor will they be excused.
ذَٰلِكُمdhālikum"That [you all] (is)بِأَنَّكُمُbi-annakumubecause you [all]ٱتَّخَذْتُمْittakhadhtum[you all] tookءَايَـٰتِāyāti(the) verses / revelationsٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Godهُزُوًاhuzuwan(in) ridiculeوَغَرَّتْكُمُwagharratkumuand [it] deceived you [all]ٱلْحَيَوٰةُl-ḥayatuthe life (of)ٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yāthe world."فَٱلْيَوْمَfal-yawmaSo this Dayلَاlānotيُخْرَجُونَyukh'rajūnathey will exitمِنْهَاmin'hāfrom itوَلَاwalāand notهُمْhumtheyيُسْتَعْتَبُونَyus'taʿtabūna[they] will be allowed to make amends / be excused. ﴿٣٥﴾
[45:36] To GOD belongs all praise; Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of the universe.
فَلِلَّهِfalillahiThen to God (is)ٱلْحَمْدُl-ḥamduall praise,رَبِّrabbiLord (of)ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَرَبِّwarabbiand Lord (of)ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earth,رَبِّrabbiLord (of)ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَl-ʿālamīnathe worlds / universe. ﴿٣٦﴾
[45:37] To Him belongs all supremacy in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.
وَلَهُwalahuAnd for Him (is)ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُl-kib'riyāuthe greatness / supremacyفِىfīinٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earth,وَهُوَwahuwaand He (is)ٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzuthe Almighty,ٱلْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmuMost Wise. ﴿٣٧﴾
