Sura 100 - Al-‘Aadeyaat
In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
بِسْمِbis'miIn (the) nameٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) God,ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāniMost Gracious,ٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmiMost Merciful.
[100:1] By the fast gallopers.
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِwal-ʿādiyātiBy the racers / gallopersضَبْحًاḍabḥanpanting. ﴿١﴾
[100:2] Igniting sparks.
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِfal-mūriyātiAnd the producers of sparks / ignitors قَدْحًاqadḥanstriking / igniting of fire. ﴿٢﴾
[100:3] Invading (the enemy) by morning.
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِfal-mughīrātiAnd the raidersصُبْحًاṣub'ḥan(by) morning. ﴿٣﴾
[100:4] Striking terror therein.
فَأَثَرْنَfa-atharnaThen raising up (clouds of dust)بِهِۦbihitherebyنَقْعًاnaqʿandust / cloud of dust. ﴿٤﴾
[100:5] Penetrating to the heart of their territory.
فَوَسَطْنَfawasaṭnaThen they penetrate in the centerبِهِۦbihitherebyجَمْعًاjamʿanall together. ﴿٥﴾
[100:6] The human being is unappreciative of his Lord.
إِنَّinnaIndeed,ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insānathe human being (is)لِرَبِّهِۦlirabbihito his Lordلَكَنُودٌlakanūdunsurely unappreciative. ﴿٦﴾
[100:7] He bears witness to this fact.
وَإِنَّهُۥwa-innahuAnd indeed, he (is)عَلَىٰʿalāoverذَٰلِكَdhālikathatلَشَهِيدٌlashahīdunsurely a witness. ﴿٧﴾
[100:8] He loves material things excessively.
وَإِنَّهُۥwa-innahuAnd indeed heلِحُبِّliḥubbifor love (of)ٱلْخَيْرِl-khayrithe wealth / material things (is)لَشَدِيدٌlashadīdunsurely intense. ﴿٨﴾
[100:9] Does he not realize that the day will come when the graves are opened?
أَفَلَاafalāBut does notيَعْلَمُyaʿlamuhe knowإِذَاidhāWhen [in the future]بُعْثِرَbuʿ'thirait (will be) upturned / openedمَاwhat (is)فِىinٱلْقُبُورِl-qubūrithe graves. ﴿٩﴾
[100:10] And all secrets are brought out.
وَحُصِّلَwaḥuṣṣilaAnd it (will be) brought to light / made knownمَاwhat (is)فِىinٱلصُّدُورِl-ṣudūrithe hearts / minds? ﴿١٠﴾
[100:11] They will find out, on that day, that their Lord has been fully Cognizant of them.
إِنَّinnaIndeed,رَبَّهُمrabbahumtheir Lordبِهِمْbihimabout themيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Day (is)لَّخَبِيرٌۢlakhabīrunsurely Cognizant. ﴿١١﴾
